Getting to America

On August 29th at 11 am we boarded flight VA007. Finely we were on our way to L.A. On the plane I wached the Lorax, Beetlejiuce and a bit of the pirates. After that I went to sleep for a hour. We had dinner a midnight snak and brekfist.We were on the plane for 13 and a half hours. When we arived it was 7 am. We had traviled back in time. When we got to the hotel we went swimming. Then we went shoping and brot ice-cream. Then we went swimming again. Then we all had a nap. After we went to a restront and ate the most delicious Greek food. Then we all went to sleep. 2 Days to Go

Our bags are nearly packed and Monique is happy with the embellishments I have included on hers - she wanted a pretty bag and I didn't want to spend an extra $50 when I could meet her wishes for less than $5.

The countdown began back in March with 149 days to go. Since then Monique has been diligently crossing each day off my uni planner. I can hardly believe we have only 2 days until we head to the Sunshine state and 6 sleeps until the plane ride to LA. For now, that plane ride is sounding very exciting, we will see how we feel about it at the other end. The funny thing about it is that we leave Brisbane at 11am on the 29th August and arrive at 7am on the 29th August. It is kind of like it doesn't really happen at all - figure that one out!! See you in LA :)

We had an awesome day at ACMI, the kids were fascinated by the multitude of screen applications and the history and development of screen-based entertainment.

The flooded gorge

It was a beautiful day, so we decided to go for a ride. We took our bike and scooter, while Mum walked. We saw the water rushing down into the swiftly flowing river. We wanted to see what it looked like in the Gorge. There were heaps of people walking along the path. Many of them were taking photos. The river was very loud as it raced down and crashed against the rocks. Sometimes we got wet, even though the path is really high.






Then we went to the Sea Port. Julius and I rode in the skate bowl there were heaps of people there. It was a bit crazy. Mum made me sit with her because she was scared I would get hurt. Then Julius had a crash with a bike. He was ok but wanted to go. So we rode into the Mall and had our free Wendy's fundaes. Yummy! What a great day.

Christmas Fun
